道奇隊日籍投手前田健太生涯首度在大聯盟季後賽先發，只投3局就失掉4分退場，此戰最後道奇3比8輸國民，在國家聯盟首輪季後賽已落入1勝2敗的劣勢，賽前前田健太表示真是令人沮喪。

前田健太雖是第1年挑戰大聯盟，但憑藉著他在日職豐富的經驗，季賽拿下16勝，是道奇隊最多勝的投手。此戰前2局前田健太沒失分，但第3局就出狀況了。

前田健太3局上先被Trea Turner、Jayson Werth、Bryce Harper連續安打失掉2分，接著Anthony Rendon再轟2分砲。前田健太投完3局用了63球、41好球，被擊出5支安打包括1轟，失4分，三振4次、保送3次，吞敗投，也讓道奇隊處於即將被淘汰的命運。

前田健太賽後表示被打的球，都是自己投到太好的位置，純粹就是自己失投而已，這是一個短期的賽事，失掉4分會讓球隊陷入極為不利的局面，我沒有幫助到球隊。
